Explosion Proof Transformer Rectifiers
In the oil, gas, petrochemicals industries, etc., sometimes transformer rectifiers have to be installed in the hazardous zone. This requires the manufacturing of a transformer rectifier suitable for installation under these environmental conditions in accordance with IEC60079 standard.
In this type of devices, the main transformer and rectifier section and the corresponding filters are immersed in the oil tank of the device. In this section of the Transformer rectifier Exo protection class is used. Protective equipment, electronic control unit, measuring, etc. are installed in the enclosures with the Exd protection class (the protection class may vary on request). Measuring equipment such as voltmeter, ammeter, etc. are placed in explosive containers with a transparent screen. The transformer rectifier cables come in and out using explosive glands with the same Exd protection class.
