Portable Test Power Supply
A portable test power supply can be used to facilitate the current expansion test or temporary impressed current of the cathodic protection system (where transformer rectifiers are not fully installed or energized).
This device requires no power and supplies the required voltage and current through the battery and internal inverter circuit. The device is usually made with a capacity of 30 volts and 5 amps and can be made into other voltages and currents. The portable test power supply has a major difference with a simple power supply and is capable of supplying current according to constant current and constant voltage modes of industrial transformers rectifiers and also has the ability to switch off and switch on current according to similar industrial cycles.
