Bond Boxes

In pipeline cathodic protection systems, bond boxes generally connect transformer rectifier cables to anodes and pipelines. They allow measurements of pipe-to-soil potential, pipeline current, stray current flowing through the pipeline, insulating-joint resistance and other parameters.

Bond boxes are manufactured to order from 2 or 3 mm steel sheet, with different IP ratings. Two common sizes are 150 × 200 × 400 mm and 150 × 300 × 380 mm. Numerous custom sizes can also be ordered.

Bond boxes can have any of the following finishes:

  • Hot-dip galvanising
  • Special oven-cured paint with phosphate or chromate pretreatment
  • Special epoxy or alkyd paint over a sandblasted surface

Borna Electronic can design and manufacture bond boxes to meet customer requirements or project needs.
